I am wanting to put a carbon fork on my bike. What is a good fork for the money? I would like a thread less fork. What are some good brands and what do I need to look for when I am ready topurchase one? Thanks for any info.

Kestrel is selling their EMS for for $125 if you need a 1" threadless (or threaded, for that matter) fork
Their EMS Pro is $199 for 1" threadless, $239 for 1 1/8" threadless

Great forks!

How does it compare to the $100+ forks? Don't know. But I thought you'd be interested.

Which would you chose? The money is pretty close. Or how about a Profile designes?

Thanks for the information.
cheap carbon usually ain't worth itDA

Why do you want carbon? For the look or cool factor? If that's the case, don't bother... cheap stuff is usually just that cheap. And offers no performance benefits over a good steel fork.
I need a new stem and thought I would upgrade fork at same timeCaddis_fly

I have got to get a new stem, and thought that I would upgrade to a carbon fork that is thread less. If 150.00 is a cheap no good fork then I might should stay with my Cannondale stock fork and just buy a new threaded stem. The guy at the LBS said that it would save almost a pound off my bike. Is the cheap ones just to flexy or something? Thanks for the help.
Looks like Profile BRC !Caddis_fly

Well have been shopping around and for the money that I can spend it looks like the Profile designs BRC fork might be the one. So far have not heard any real negatives about this fork. Looks like I can get a new one for around $200.00 or buy one off the classifieds here for $100.00 or so. Thanks for all the information that I have got from this site.
