Can't find a campy 8 spd rear der(6 posts)

Can't find a campy 8 spd rear derskud

Help! I've got a century coming up and I need to find a campy 8 speed rear derailleur (preferrably Voloce).

I've tried all my normal spots (performance, excel, nashbar, colo cyclist, etc...) with no luck.

I live in the SF Bay area so a LBS would be great, but a catalog with express shipping would also do just fine.

Thanks.

Ebay or retrofit a 9-spd with wider pulley wheels

Call Dublin Cyclery at 925-828-8676 and ask for Harmony or Chuck. They bought my crashed '97 Bianchi Veloce from State Farm and have been parting it out. I'm fairly sure they've still got the rear der - an 8 speed Veloce unit - and it wasn't damaged in the crash.

I have had good luck with Parker-International.co.uk. They carry alot of assorted campy stuff from 8-10sp. The prices are very good, even with the U.K exchange rate!
Thanks!skud

Although Dublin Cyclery had already used the "used" derailleur, they're going to hook me up with a new one--works for me!

Thanks all.
