Currently depending on CO2 cartridges...still never had a road flat!!!

What's the best (lightest, strongest, most effecient) mini pump available?

Is there a way to mount to my OCLV frame without drilling?

Thanks,
Bob

Dunno what it's called, but it's WAY cool and it WORKS!! Basicaly you twist the head to engage either the schraeder or Presta side. I starts off in high volume/low pressure mode, then with the puch of a little button it goes into low volume/high pressure mode. It's lighter than their lightes frame fit and works better than their best mini pump and it pumps on both strokes so it's FAST! The thing is totally awesome on either a road or a MTB. It is the best working frame type of pump I've ever seen and I'm going back to frame fit Silcas with the Campy head.... I was EXTREMELY skeptical in the LBS, but the owner said try it - so I did.

Attachement is a breeze, you can either use existing water bottle lugs (with or w/out a bottle cage) or a universal mount.

When you locate a shop that carries them, ask if you can try it out on some bikes in the shop. You'll be amazed. Officially it's a MTB pump, but like so many things the MTB world has rethought much of what roadies take as gospel. This thing is lighter than their frame fit pumps by a few grams. The Air Sticks are nice "toys" they'll get you home, but it's going to be on a soft tire OR you'll tear off the valve stem trying to get it up to pressure. Nothing wrong with a good frame fit.

I use the Blackburn Air Stick (as do many I ride with) and find it great. If the new one adds to the air stick (sounds similar) then it sounds great as well.

Crank Bros. Alloy Power Pump. Well made and effective. Either high volume or high pressure settings, capable of 130 PSI, and a quality pressure gauge built in. Unique & ingeneous mount (tie wrap) to the frame.
Is this the right Crank Bros. Model??? Says 100psi max?Bob in Indiana

The word I've heard from several of my buds is that the Crank Bros design, while cool looking, is best suited to getting your sorry butt home. My feeling has always been that a pump should be able to do the whole job and get you back on the road as good as new so that you can continue any long ride w/out compromising.
