Flight Deck setting(3 posts)

Flight Deck settingJonathan

I just bought a used bike with a Flight Deck computer on it. The manual couldn't be found. Does anyone know an online source for a manual? How about a quick description on how to set the clock and the gear ratios?

Thanks for any help and time spent on this topic.

Model SC-6501:
Switch "A" is upper right as you look at the back.
Switch "B" is upper left as you look at the back.
"AC" Switch is lower center as you look at the back.

To reset clock:
Get a display where CLK appears on the sub-display. Press switch "B" for 5 seconds or more to change the time setting. The hours will advance when switch "A" is pressed. Press switch "B" once to set hour. The minutes will then start to flash. Use same procedure to set minutes.

To set Gear Ratios & clock:
Press "AC" switch
Press switch "B" for 2 seconds to accept km/h or Mile/h (switch "A" to change value - typical)
Press switch "B" for 2 seconds to accept odometer data
Press switch "B" for 2 seconds to accept tire circumference
Now you're ready to set the number of chainring teeth:
Starting with the outer chainring, press switch "A" to adjust. Press switch "B" to accept. Do the same for the inner chainring. If you have a double front chainwheel, set the third (innermost) chainring to "--" and press switch "B" to accept.
Now you're ready to set the number of sprocket teeth:
Use the same procedure to set the sprocket teeth as that used for the chainring teeth (starting with the smallest cog). Remember to set the 8th and 9th sprockets to "--" if you have a 7 speed cassette.
Once you have entered the number of sprocket teeth, you will need to confirm EACH setting individually by pressing switch "B" repeatedly. If all values are correct press switch "B" for 2 seconds to accept.
Now you're ready to set the rear derailleur type:
press switch "A" to select "111" for a standard derailleur or "222" for a rapid rise derailleur. Press switch "B" for 2 seconds to accept.
Now you're ready to set the clock:
Press Switch "A" to change the hours. Press switch "B" to accept the hour setting. Then press switch "A" to change the minutes and press switch "B" to accept. The clock will then start..... and you're done.
Thank you. moreJonathan
