Are they changing Time Equipe Pedals?non-sprinter

A buddy of mine said, he saw these new pedals. Is it true, that Time decided to change a good working design? Supposedly it a bare bones version of the Equipe. I guess kind of like how Campy, SPDR, SPD, are bare bones designs of Look pedals.

I sure hope not. I have never had a Time pedal unclip when I was sprinting up a hill as I have had with others. Each time it was extremely painful. Then again, maybe it will mean lots of NOS units going cheap.

These pedals are claimed to be prototype:

They look like a regular Equipe Pro with the body stripped away.
