On-line resource for Campy 10 44T chainring???Cima

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know an On-Line retailer for Campy's 44T chainrings for the 10-speed drivetrain? They are listed on Campy's website under the Triathlon components, but I have not yet seen them sold in any of the major retailers (Colo Cyclist, Excel, Chicago Bikeland, WCP, Branford, etc.

As always, your assistance is greatly appreciated.

are not 9/10 speed specific. Only the outer ring is machined slightly differently to position it a hair closer to the inner rings. The 44t is not ramped or pinned and is intended to be used as an inner ring with 650c wheels.

I did not realize the inner ring was not also machined thinner to accept the narrower C10 chain.

However, this still does not answer my original question about where to find one made by Campy. I have seen them from T/A, which is a great company, but I'd prefer to stick with Campy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Branford, Harris, your LBS...Cliff Oates

They're listed on Branford's web site and also on Sheldon Brown's site. Your LBS could also order it for you since I know it's in the Quality catalog and probably other distributor catalogs as well.

BTW, the 10s ring itself is not thinner. The area where it attaches to the crank arms is machined somewhat thinner to reduce the spacing between the rings.

For what it's worth, I run a 55 9 speed ring on my 10sp setup, and it works perfectly fine. I can't tell the difference.
