My ultegra set up needs to be adjusted after every ride ( 20 to 75 miles) and during the ride at least once,,is this normal? usually is like a half a turn here and half turn there,I am getting pretty good at this on the fly.Is both the back and from. I do lots of out od saddle riding ( 200lb) in the short hills, can that be the reasen?

I'd check my cable housings carefully. Look for cable ends that aren't seated or maybe just buggered up.

I had some of the same trouble with my front derailuer(dura ace).
A couple drops of lock tight on the set screws solved it. The high limit screw was vibrating in both directions when not under pressure. No trouble at all for over 600 miles.

make sure that the brakes are securely mounted to the handle bars. if you are doing a lot of hard efforts the brake levers may be moving slightly down the bar effectively lengthing your shift cable.

I actually had the same problem with my Durace shifting.
It was as simple as retightening the deraillleur cable at the allen screw that secures it to the derailleur. Since doing that, I have not had to adjust the downtube adjusters.
It was basically due to cable stretch.
