Howdy,

Will the cateye mity3 magnet fit the flat spokes of a Rolf Vector Pro wheel? I"m looking at adding a cyclometer to my wonderful new and very fast smoke carbon Trek 5200.

Thanks, Tom

I have a Cateye magnet on my Rolf Comp, but use a Vetta RT-88 computer. As long as the magnet is for bladed spokes of the size used on the Vector Pro, it will work.

I just bought a 5200 with the Vector Pros and installed a Shimano Flight deck. It is integrated into the brake hoods and is a very clean install. It also includes a cadence feature which is nice if you are working on monitoring your pedal stroke. If you get a Flight Deck be sure you get the latest model (5501??) and not last years. They fixed a lot of bugs in the latest model.

Have your LBS order the magnet that Shimano makes for their wheels. It can be ordered either through Shimano or Quality. It is designed to fit 2.0 mm bladed spokes, which is what the Vector Pro's use. It will snap onto the spoke and it is one the smallest magnets I have seen.
