Powerlink longevityWoof the dog

I am paranoid about my sram powerlink on Dura-ace chain snapping. Has this ever happened to anyone (snapping, not being paranoid)? I maintain chain very well, but decided to replace the link just in case after something like 1.5 or 2 th.miles.

Sincerely
Woof the powerlink dog.
No problemsIan

I've been using a Powerlink on Shimano chains for 1 1/2 years. My most recent road bike has 2,200 miles on a D/A chain w/ a Powerlink and seems in good shape. I also use a Powerlink on my MTB, which takes much more abuse than a road chain ever would.

Say Woof. I've got 3,500+ miles on a SRAM 9-spd chain with power link and no problems. Also had 4,500+ miles on a SRAM 8-spd with power link and likewise no problems.
