Any ideas as to who makes the lightest 31.6mm seatpost for a Klein Quantum? Thanks in advance!

Easton is making their CT2 carbon post in 31.6 for 02'. That is a pretty light one, but it won't be available for a little while, don't know if you need it right away. Also, Thomson makes 31.6 posts, don't know the exact weight, but they are not heavy and it is hard to go wrong with Thomson.

Thanks Ian. The Easton carbon post is pretty close to what I'm looking for... light, but with a little shock absorbtion. When will their '02 models be available, and any ideas as to the $?

Retail is $100 to $110. Delivery? Not to sure, could be 2 weeks, but hopefully not more than 2 months. Sorry that is vague, but it is the best educated guess I could give.

I was talking to Jeff at Hurricane Components the other day, he said that they will be making a carbon seatpost as part of their "Stelvio" line of road parts which include a stem and seatpost for 2002. I dont think that they will make a 31.6 road post, but a 31.6 carbon MTB post is in the works.

I have used the LP Composites post on my Quantum Pro and it was very light.
I ended up taking it off because I needed some set-back and the LP post seat fixture is directly above the post.
It is sitting on a shelf in my shop I would make you a great deal if you are interested.
I ended up using a Carbon Campy Record post with a USE resin 31.6 to 27.2 adapter.
Very trick.
