creaking sound coming from the front of biketrailjerky

I have a very loud creaking sound coming from the front of my 2001 Lemond Zurich. The bike shop has lubed and tightend everything. It has Rolf Vector Comp wheels. I suspect its the wheels. I've heard of this problem b4 but not how to fix it. Any suggestions???

Try tightening the skewer. I found this problem with my Vector Comps on my Trek 5200. I had to fix my tire and took off the wheel. When I put it back on, the creak was gone. I suspect I didn't have the skewer tight enough. I haven't had the problem since, as long as I make sure the skewer is tight. This was after I had the LBS, check the other culprits as it was a new bike at the time.

Happy riding.

Sounds like you're on the right track. However, if you don't solve the problem you may want to expand your investigation noises in a bike frame tend to propagate quickly (speed of sound is faster than in air) and you can be fooled by where you think the noise is coming from. A pretty weel known one is the seat post sounding like the BB is loose on a Ti bike, but the list can be endless and a bit frustrating. Having a spare set of different type wheels is a quick way to check things. I've noticed that Rolfs can be pretty noisy.

I've recently had a creak in the front wheel also. A drop of oil or some lube on each spoke nipple, then spin the wheel, then wipe them off. That cured my creak.

I'll try these suggestions.
