I have a copy of Bicycle mags' Complete Guide to Bicycle Maintenance and Repair. I would like manual(s) with more detail. Would purchasing Sutherland's Shop Handbook or Barnett's Manual be worthwhile? Is one better than the other? Thanks!

If you use Campy, try their website campagnolo.com They have all of the manuals there for download. I don't know about Shimano.

I have used Barnett's manual in the past, and it is very descriptive. I highly recommend it. I have no experience with Sutherland's

I bought Barnett's 4 volumes last year from Amazon for ~$80. It has a lot of good info, drawings, and detailed descriptions. Mostly Shimano and others, but not much on Campy. I think it was worth the investment.
