|I was told that there is a certain way to wrap your bars so that the tape wont loosen. which way is it???|

|The theory (at least as I learned it) is that you start at the end of the bars and work toward the stem. That way when you slide your hands down the bars, you're moving in the direction of the overlap and you don't peel up the loose edges. Secure the tape near the stem with a couple of wraps of electricians' tape, the stupid not-sticky-or-flexible-enough stuff that comes with the bar tape or (traditionally) several wraps of twine covered (or not) with shellac.
As far as clockwise vs. counterclockwise, I've never noticed that it makes any difference.
