To Fit kit or not (new cleats for pedals)?onrhodes

I've been persuaded to buy new cleats for my campy pro-fit pedals. So here is what I am wondering. I originally got a R.A.D. fit kit done to avoid any possible knee problems. So, what I am wondering is when I go to repleace the plastic cleat, should I get another R.A.D or can I just outline the cleat with a marker of some sort? I have Shimano SPDr R-150 shoes. I've been told that cleats will sometimes leave a groove for you to use again, but with the carbon sole, I am finding that highly unlikely in this case. So, I am looking for people who have had some experience here. The last thing I need to do is be messing up my fit this late in the season, and risking a knee injury. Let me know what you guys have found in the past to be your experiences.
Thanks
old cleats should leave their mark on soleclub

but if you're truly anal, blast the old cleats and the surrounding sole with spray paint, then remove the cleat, and the old cleat placement will be apparent. If those pedals have some float, it won't matter that much since a few degree off on the cleats won't make any difference. Try it yourself before spending for a fitkitfitting.

A percentage based system would be preferrable to many, I think - $3 is alot to charge for small items (and maybe too little for a bike...) - why not a flat 1 to 3% or something like that?

If duplicate listings is what you are after, if you force registration you should be able to eliminate duplicates by monitoring who has posted what (maybe even restrict people to 2 or 3 active listings on each classified board)
Workaround for the $3 fee?Slow Ned

Greetings Comrades -

I've always believed that capitalism would eat itself.

Socio-econmic dogma aside, I hate to see the favorite feature of my favorite website vanish.

What's to say that we can't still post stuff for sale for free on the messageboards section of this site as a workaround to paying $3 per classified? As often as this site is policed, no one would be there to pull any such listing in a timely fashion.

Just a thought. Please let me know what you think, my brothers and sisters.

Power to the people.

Your pal,

Slow Ned
