Does Mavic or Campy make a Shimano compatable cassette that sits on a Campy hub?
I thought they did and it was a bit heavy, but I just wanted to find out... my memory is fading...
Thanks..

The cassette you are looking for is called the Accelerator made by Wheels manufacturing (Excel Sports) sells them. $100 for the Ultegra version and $180 for the Dura Ace version. What Wheels manuf has done is they took regular Shimano Dura Ace and Ultegra cassettes, remachined the cassette ring bodies, and put in new cog spacers. By doing this the new cassette has the exact cog spacing necessary to run on a Campy drivetrain, yet the internat splines of the cog are obviously Shimano compatible since they started with a Shimano cassette. I run this cassette on my Chorus 9 speed and it shifts better than my old Campy cassette did. If you buy this cassette you need to run it with either the matching Ultegra or dura ace chain depending on which cassette you buy. The other option is to buy a Rholoff chain, this also works.
