I am considering buying one of these, and can't find any info except from them, and of course they think they are the best. Weight-wise they are Chris King comparable, but what about that funky locking topcap?? They said you don't have to use a star nut, rather it uses three 2.5 mm locking screws. I should probably just get a King, but I really don't like the huge CHRIS KING addvertisement you can see from miles away. If I wanted to give him free advertising I would put a sticker on my car, but I want my road rig clean looking.

I put an American Classic threaded headset on my Basso about a month ago and it's great. Everything is machined very nice and the logo is very hard to see unless you get very very close to it. It adjusts easily and it's as smooth as my old King. I would recomend it and American Classic is a great company to deal with.
