Claeaning hard water stains off cranksVelocipedio

I just cleaned a dirty bike with water and mild soap. The bike looks great, but the water sems to have left hard water scuzz on my nice shiney cranks. Any ideas how to clean that off?

Not something I've ever particularly worried about. If they are hard water stains, the spots are probably lime deposits. A mixture of vinegar and water should work, it's what my sainted mother used to use on her windows.

I'm not particularly worried about it, either... that's why I've managed to go through a couple of decades of cycling without asking... But, you know... I was looking at my baby yesterday and I though "I bet someone would have an answe for that..."

Any good quality wax/cleaner should remove these deposits.
