|BB tool for Ultegra BB||Allen A|

|Hi there, I was under the impression that you could use a Park BBT-2 to install the new pipe spindle type of BBs. I have an older BBT-2 and I cannot use it to install my new Ultegra BB. Are the new BBT-2s different? Or do I need a different tool? Thanks, Allen|

|... I've got two tools... the newer BBT-2 (why they didn't call it something else like say, BBT-2A... I don't know) is longer and deeper (inside where it clears the pipe spindle).
Park's site says that the tool has been updated (yet again) for use on ISIS BB's... I don't know if my tool will work on ISIS (it's about 2 years old)!!!
I'm not familiar with non Park BB tools.
Such is life...

|The park tool sticks out too far from the bottom bracket and tends to tip and strip out. I find the Shimano tool easier to use.|

|I know waht you mean, but I find if you use two hands it's a non-issue. On hand on the end of the wrench and the other right over the head of the socket/wrench connection. This is advised no matter which tool you use - otherwise you run the distinct risk of having the splines disengage and mangle the cup.|

|You can't put a torque wrench on the Shimano tool. And we all install our BB's with a torque wrench, right?|| |
