Expected life of Dura-Ace cassette??ChrisA

I have about 6,000 miles on a 12-23 (9 sp) Dura-Ace cassette. I've replaced the chain every 2000 miles. I have a new cassette at the ready, but I'm not sure if the old one is worn out.

The chain (even a new one) will start to "slip" on the worn cogs under power. Nothing radical or dangerous, it just moves a small amount as the gaps between the teeth widen and you'll start to notice that they're no longer symetrical in shape. When you get tired of the noise it makes it will be time to replace it. As you might expect a lot depends upon how you take care of it, your riding style and the materials. Based on what you've said I'd expect that you've got a long way to go.
