|upgrading my fork: couple of questions||Gall|

i want to up grade the fork on my 99 52 cm trek 5200. i am either going to go with the carbon look or the reynold ouzo pro. my main concern is with putting a stack of spacers on to get my bars above my saddle 2 1/2".
- has anyone upgraded the fork on a 52 cm trek? if so how many spacers did you have to stack up?
- which fork would you go for: reynolds or look?
thanks in advance for your help!

|I remember seeing a recent thread warning about too many spacers with a carbon steerer fork. I think (you may want to search the archives) that 25 mm of spacers was recommended as a max. Also it was mentioned that a spacer should/could be added above the stem to reduce clamping pressure on the carbon steerer. I don't know the specifics as I have a steel fork on my threadless bike, but your post made me recall the above issues.
