I have just retro fitted an Ergobrain 10 on my Chorus equiped bike.

1) I had trouble fitting the speed sensor to the Columbus Carve fork I have, basically using the mounting bracket the sensor was too close to the spoke and would cacth. I used an old bit of inner tube and a couple of ties to do away with the bracket and solve the problem - although it works I wonder if there's a better solution???

2) The guide asks you to find the diameter of the front wheel and input this - howd'you find this out??? When programming the thing the default value is 2096 (I think), I assume this is the default value for a standard 700c wheel with 'average' tyre??

Comments most welcome!

Use silicone caulk in clear or black to attach the speed sensor to the fork. No ugly clamp needed.

To get the most accurate wheel circumferance (not diameter), roll the wheel 3 revolutions and measure the total distance traversed. Repeat several times and figure the average. Divide by 3, then multiply by 25.4 to convert from inches to mm. The 2096 should be pretty close for a 700 x 23 tire.

If you want more accuracy, get a helper, and sit on the bike while rolling the wheels 3 revolutions.
