Thinking about new road handlebars(3 posts)

Thinking about new road handlebarsseth1

I saw the positive reviews of the Deda Newton, but the mid-section that is clamped onto the stem looks very fat. Is this true or just an illusion? Will my Scott aero-bars fit on this section?

Right now I'm riding a pair of Ritchey Logic Pros and I saw Performance has specials on Ritchdy WCS and the Logic Pro Biomax.

Any opinions on these items would be greatly appreciated.

The Newtons come in 2 clamp sizes - 31.7 and standard. To use the 31.7 you'll need a new stem. Shouldn't be a problem with your aerobars in that they don't clip that close to the stem.

The WCS bar, like the other Ritchey WCS stuff, is nice. Ditto with the BioMax.

Choose whichever bar suits you from an ergonomic perspective (reach, bend) and that you're willing to spend the $$$ for. Of course, you can choose the lightest bar. You can choose the best compromise between these 3 and any other factors (aesthetics).

It's pretty straight forward.
