SHimano/Campy cassette compatibility.Flip

having a heck of a time finding a moderately priced aero wheelset that will accomodate my Campy 9 speed drivetrain. They all seem to come standard w/ shimano cassette bodies. Ideas? What would happen if i slapped a wheel w/ shimano 9 speed cassette on?

That's what I'm doing right now. I've just upgraded my campy mirage 8 speed to chorus 9 speed. I'll be putting a dura ace 9 speed cassette on tomorrow nite, so i'll let you know if it works. I have had no troubles using an ultegra 8 speed cassette with my mirage ergos for over a year now. i basically have half campy and half shimano spacers on the cassette. i would have done the same thing to the dura ace cassette, but the 1st four cogs are riveted together. There is one other solution.....Wheels Manufacturing sells a 9 speed cassette for running campy ergos with shimano cassettes. It's $100, which is why I'm waiting to see if the dura ace will work. I'll let you know if my idea will work.
