|I would like to purchase a pair of Carnac Ellipses. I currently wear a size 9.5 shoe and a size 43 sidi. I ordered a pair of 42.5 Cometes (having been told to order a .5 size smaller). They were a little roomy without socks, which is how I would ride them. Colorado cyclist say a 42 is meant for a size 8.5. Could this be right? Is there anyone out there who wears a size 43 sidi w/o socks also have a piar of carnacs too. |

|First off get the Quartz it is a better shoe. Second I wear a 10.5 in most everthing. I wear a 43.5 in almost all Carnac shoes.
Good Luck J

|To my knowledge, only the Carnac Legends run a size too big. The rest of them are right on. I normally wear a 45. I have a 44.5 pair of Legends that fit well. I also have a pair of Carnac mtn bike shoes. They're size 45 and fit well. If I were you, I'd get the 43 (if thats the corresponding euro size to 9.5 U.S. --- I have 11 U.S. which eqials 45 euro).|

|I have to agree with Jason. I also wear a 10.5 and the 43.5 is right on with my scirrocos. Historically I have worn 44.5-45 in everything Italian, Sidi, Diadora, etc... Carnacs seem more roomy in the toe box than all the other cycling shoes I have owned too. Maybe that is part of the reason they seem to run small.
That's the tough part about mail ordering shoes.
