i've got a 3 year old veloce groupset - all going strong, an excellent quality groupset btw - and i've decided to rebuild the hubs, since turning the axles by hand reveals that they're getting a bit rough. i've rebuilt the front, no problem, and as soon as i get the cassette tool i'll do the rear.
i thought this would be straightforward, since i've done shimano hubs before, but a bike shop mechanic warned me it is more difficult, without going into details.
i know i'll have to take the cassette and freehub body off to get to the drive side bearings, i don't know if this is tricky, and apart from this, are there any other things that i should be aware of?
all advice is gratefully accepted - i'll post again when i've done it, and let you all know how it went....
