upon inspecting my new litespeed i noticed that the wheel did not appear centered between the chainstays. there was almost a half cm. difference between the two sides. dealer will replace with no cost to me. has anyone had a similar experiece with a litespeed???

My 99 Ultimate is perfect - wheel is centered, etc. (just curious, but did you check the dishing on the wheel to make sure it wasn't messed up? 1/2cm is alot for the frame to be off...)

As Dr.D suggested it could be the dishing of the wheel. I would also make sure that when installing the rear wheel that the axles sit tight in the drop outs and do not move when the quick release is tightened. Litespeed is very quality oriented and I would suspect almost everything else before moving onto the frame.

In fact I have had several high speed crashes on my Classic and it's still straight as an arrow.
