May 28, 2001 9:58 PM | | the 9sp cassette will fit the 8sp hub allright but you will likely find that you need to use more chain and a long armed rear derailleur in order to take up the extra slack you'll have with the wider spread the mountain cassette has between extreme large and small sprockets--probably 23 links(in a 11-34) instead of 11 or so(12-23 for example) |
