New USE carbon post weight loss!(3 posts)

New USE carbon post weight loss!marky

Just added a USE carbon post and dropped the weight of my ride by 157 grams (0.35 pounds). My old post was a 290 gram American Classic. The post is a 25.0 X 270mm, the post weighed 126 grams and the 1 mm shim was 7 grams. Despite the fact I am already riding a carbon fiber frame I did notice a difference in the ride quality....some may say I am full of crap but I honestly believe the ride is better.
Are you sure?dave

The American classic post is currently listed at 190 grams, not 290.

I've got a 15 year old post that's only 250 grams.
Yes I am sure....marky

Yes I am sure. The post is the American Classic Original, both posts weighed on recently calibrated laboratory balance. I think the newer versions of the post are lighter but I have never weighed them.
