Climbing: 3X Wheel vs 3X/RadialRicky J

I have a pair of rear wheels I'm trying presen- tly, a conventional 3-cross build and one with a 3-cross drive-side and radial non-drive. Both were laced up by the same reputable builder and are identical component-wise but for lacing pa- ttern. The 3-X seems to have more "snap" while climbing than the 3-X/radial; the latter feels a bit mushier to pedal inputs. In all other ar- eas the two wheels work great and I'd be really hard-pressed to tell 'em apart! I'm 215#. Inter- ested in any feedback...
