Old style Aero Levers - Wanted(5 posts)

Old style Aero Levers - WantedDarren001

Does anyone remember the really great Mavic/Campag/Gipieme/Modolo aero levers of 10 years ago?
I am really tired of the Shimano STI rattle, and since I cannot afford new 10 spd Record, I want to go back to tube shifters and aero levers. South Africa has turned up nil, on any of the bike dealers willing to bring in some for me, let alone talk to me, when all the salesperson knows is STI, so I am left to try and find them myself.
If anyone can tell me from which corner of the world I can find some, I would be really grateful. Thanks
Darren

If you want to go hi-tech, Campy sells carbon aero levers. They retail for about $100.00us. It cheaper than Ergo or STI.
Check out E-BayJonathan Zook

I've seen several of these on E-Bay. I have 2 sets of Campy C-Record levers myself, and am always looking to see what they are auctioning for. Good Luck!!

I thought saw some on HarrisCyclery.com. They deliver all over the world (to Singapore at least). They are not a source of cheap parts but do tend to have a lot of retro stuff. I even managed to get some Shimano brake hood covers for my old pre-aero era ride.

Cheers
