|I just received my new ksyriums and have two questions
1- I assume I dont need rim tape right? No spoke holes to worry about,or do I need something near the valve stem?
2- The plastic chain gaurd rubs the spokes when coastin making a crappy noise. Is it installed wrong or do I just need to pitch it?

|1. Yep, you can skip the rim tape and just put the tube and tire on as normal. |
2. Don't know anyone who uses the spoke protector, tried mine but had simlar problems. Just make sure you use the little spacer in it's place if your running Shimano - they say you need one or the other and I'm not going to risk it.
Enjoy your wheels - they feel "slippery" with the lower spoke count and reduced drag. If you decide to peel the stickers off Goo Gone works great for getting the residue off.
