Wich frame to buy?????dcr915

Hello to all you riders out there. Im new to road riding and I have a chance to buy one of two frames. There low end but thats my budget. Maybe I could get some advice from anybody out there. The choices are to buy either a KHS flight 500,(520 Chrom Oly Reynolds) frame or a GT Force (7000 series aluminum) frame.
Wich wil make the better ride? The Gt is lighter, but Ive been told steel is good to?
Help... Any advice???

You've really restricted yourself with only two brands. There are dozens of good frames at reasonable prices. Also post you frame size, and weight when asking for frame advice. A good frame for a 190 lb rider can be a bad frame for someone weighing 140.

I was in Phoenix recently and there are not many hills compared to where I live. I would'nt be too concerned with being light on a cheap budget. Go for comfort. Check out GVHbikes.com and look at their steel frames. Then call Gary and tell him your needs. He can set you up at a good price. He sells KHS as well. If however you plan on racing, then maybe you should think alu.

Thanks for your reply.
I bought two bikes for little money the KHS Flight 500, it has a 105 groupo and Rolf vector wheels and it has the steel frame however I bought the GT Force with an alu frame but not such good parts. I was wondering if I should put my parts on the alu frame as it is noticably lighter the remaning bike will be for my wife and she doesn't ride much. Just for a little fun. I on the other hand bought a road bike to begin with for training for my Mt bike racing. I was told that thats the way to build my endurance. And after my first ride I found I loved it and I do plan to do some of the local road races to.

Well what do ya think?
Thanks again for your response
