Snapped ti headset bolt in Zepp stem!! OuchMarcus

I read the torque specs and still messed it up. I've never snapped a bolt like that before, it really surprised me. Anyway, the threaded side has the remains of the bolt in it. Has this happened to you? Do you have to throw the expensive stem away or is there some way to get that little bugger out of there?

Get a reverse twist drill about 1/2 the size of the bolt and drill a small pilot hole through the brocken stud. Chances are pretty good the drill will "catch" the stud and twist it out. If not, then finish the job with an easy out.

The first option for a simple removal is to superglue a small allen wrench or something similar to the bolt and see if it will back out. If not go with the options listed by the previous poster since this method will only work if the bolt isn't a tight fit. TTFN
