Can inner chain rings range in any size from say 38-45 (for a two chain ring road bike) tooth for a dura ace set up and where can such items be purchased? Most of the catalogs have just certain sizes. Thanks for any info.

You might have problems with a 38 if you have something like a 12-25 in the rear because you will exceed the capacity of the rear derailleur. Other than that no problem. I used to use a 44 for flatter races.

The only place I have seen anything is Excel has 38 and 42 avail. If you want more selection the only place I have seen is www.parker-international.co.uk

They pretty much have every size made. If your order is less than $200 there are no duties. Check out the tires prices if you need to order more to justify the shipping.
