I have an older bike (70's) and i'm thinking of finally going to shoes and cleats. Does anyone know if any clips will fit on the crankarms? Are there different diameters for the clip threads?

bonsai: Before we answer this question, let's get some terms straight. Do you want to replace the pedals with clipless pedals (the kind where a cleat on the bottom of the shoe snaps into the pedal), or install toe clips on the existing pedals (the kind where your shoe is held onto the pedal with a nylon strap across the top)?

I want to replace the pedals with clipless pedals. I already have toe clips and pedals. I'm looking to get some more ooommpphh out of the bike. thanks
I believe that all pedal spindles are standard. Cliplessbill

use standard pedal spindle dimensions (diameter and thread) where the spindle screws into the crankarm. The only difference is in what is attached to the spindle (sometimes the spindle materials differ, which doesn't affect your concerns).
