Ultegra Rear Derailleur Adjustment(2 posts)

Ultegra Rear Derailleur AdjustmentLLSmith

Im spending most of my riding time on my small chain ring in order to help my knee. While on the small cog my chain is rubbing the large derailleur as it leaves the chain ring(bottom of chain ring). Are there any adjustments that can be made to move the rear derailleur to the inside without messing up the rest of the shifting? Thanks Very Much, Smith

LL,
To begin with, you shouldn't be riding that combo as that is considered a radical setting (small chainring, small cog) some rubbing in that combo can be expected. This position results in premature wearing of the components (same as large chainring, large cog). You should shift to the large chain ring and another lower cog setting before messing around with the derailleur setup.
