When I bought my new bikes I installed Look pp 257. At about 200 miles they got kind of squeeky. Lubed them and everything was fine. It has gotten progressively worse. No amount of lube seems to quieten them.

Any one with similar experiances? I have Looks on my other 2 bikes (different models) and they don't make a sound. I tried an old pair of shoes with the pedals but I still have the same squeek so it must be the pedals.

I hate to spend more money on new pedals but I have to do something. I'm scared the guys I ride with may bump me off.

I have tried about everything and nothing seemed to last very long, and most things made my cleats messy. Then on a group ride I mentioned my frustration and one of the guys told me he puts "Armor all" on his cleats. I tried it 3 weeks ago and it has done wonders! My cleats aren't messy and no squeaks or creaks. After about 150 miles I started to notice some creaking starting again, I sprayed on some more Armor all and no squeaks for the next 200 miles. After almost a year of trying to solve the creaking and squeaking I am a happy man! My sanity is restored!
Thanks I'll give it a shot (nm)grandemamou
