How much do spacers cost for a 1" steerer and where do you get them? ARe aluminium spacers the same weight as the carbon spacers size being equal? thanks

Many mail house order places like Colorado Cyclist & Excel will have these. Cost: $3.99 for Profile carbon from CC - come in 1,2,3,5,10,20 mm. Chris King Al spacers come in 3,6,10,25 mm.

Cheap(er)... just bought a single 1" unkeyed 1cm alu spacer for 50c at LBS. Any differences between carbon and alu are minimal and limited to appearance (unless your LBS stocks black anodized alu spacers).

Silver alumninum spacers run from 50 cents to $1 each; black anodized cost significantly more- about $5 a piece. (I think because they have to anodize them after they cut them, making it fairly labor intensive.) Carbon spacers are also about $5 each. An average 1" x 10mm aluminum spacer weighs 6g, the carbon version is 3g- half as much, but these are very small weights.
