|I recently built up an Ibis Sonoma (steel) with a dura ace (track)bottom bracket, D/A cranks and Ultegra pedals. When I am out of the saddle hammering or climbing I get a lot of creaking and squeaking. Everything is greased and tight including the chainring bolts.
I had a similar problem last year when I built up a Spanky with the same components. After tearing it apart a dozen times and trying teflon thread tape and different greases, I took it to my LBS and they put this silver, gooey, loc-tite for aluminum threads on all of the threads and that seemed to do the trick.
I am pretty big, (6' and 195 lbs) and ride fairly agressively. Any ideas or solutions?
Thanks in advance,

|Chances are 99% it wasn't loc-tite that they used, but rather some anti-sieze compound. You'll most likely have to do this treatment again. Make sure you use a torque wrench to properll tighten the unit to the spec.|| |
